Compasso chair

The circle is one of the purest and simplest geometric shapes, used for centuries to create harmony and elegance; Compasso's distinctive circular backrest is eye-catching and brings any interior to life. The front edge of the seat also curves, visually connecting to the backrest while stiffening the continuous shell and providing space for the wooden legs to connect; the legs connect directly to openings molded into the plastic shell, which provides additional rigidity, and the fasteners are concealed by covers in the same color as the seat.

The pairing of wood and plastic is an elegant combination of modern and classic materials, and the piece as a whole speaks to the connection between ancient and contemporary aesthetics: the shape of the backrest evokes the circular motifs of ancient Chinese thrones, while the angled wooden legs resemble a compass that draws a perfect circle—hence the name Compasso (compass).
